Allison Richard

As a licensed attorney in the State of Illinois, Allison Richard has extensive legal and legislative experience inside and outside the statehouse. She received her Juris Doctorate degree from Washington University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Law and Society from Oberlin College. In 2018, she became a contract lobbyist for Anderson Legislative Consulting where she directly lobbies legislators regarding local government, financial and insurance issues, pensions, juvenile detention, court fee issues and more. Allison has additional legislative work experience with the Illinois Association of County Board Members and Commissioners.

Prior to joining Anderson Legislative Consulting, Allison served as an associate attorney at Illinois' oldest law firm, Brown Hay & Stephens, LLP, a defense firm located in Springfield. At the firm Allison served as lead counsel for individual clients. She was primary counsel in juvenile and family matters and small claim proceedings. Allison also assisted partners in a variety of matters of law and helped represent larger organizations including hospitals and physician groups facing medical malpractice claims.

Allison serves on the Programs and Grants Committee of the Community Foundation, is a board member for the Girl Scouts of Central Illinois, and is in the Leadership Springfield Class of 2018.
