Sharon Schallhorn was board appointed to the position of County Administrator for Bureau County in 2016.  She is the intermediary between 18 board members and other elected/appointed officials. Also, she is currently president of the IL Association of County Administrators (IACA) and is an active board member for the IL City/County Management Association (ILCMA). Sharon has 30 years of public and private administrative and executive ability in human resources, healthcare, education and civilian military service.  Sharon holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Olivet Nazarene University and earned her Master’s in Public Administration from the University of Maryland (while working as a civilian for the US Army overseas in Germany).
