Carol Kulek is an independent contractor who specializes in energy efficiency and economic development projects. She is the Market Segment Coordinator for the Ameren Illinois Energy Efficiency Program. Carol previously managed the Illinois Energy Now program for the Illinois Association of County Board Members. Prior to that, Carol was employed at the Department of Commerce and Community Affairs (DCEO) for nearly 30 years and managed a variety of policy initiatives and program efforts in the offices of Workforce Development, Economic Development and most recently was the Outreach and Marketing Manager for the Illinois Energy Office.
While at DCEO, Carol worked extensively with ComEd and Ameren Illinois utilities in the development of outreach initiatives for the Energy Efficiency Portfolio. She graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Business Management and has been accredited by the Illinois Economic Development Association.
Carol currently is a volunteer on the Sangamon County Citizen’s Efficiency Committee, a Board Member of New Start Inc., and President of the Illinois Employment and Training Association.
